There's still time for Floridians to apply for their share of $170 million available in cash payments if their homes were foreclosed on between January 2008 and December 2011, says Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, who was to appear with Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer 9 a.m. Friday at City Hall to drive home the point in Central Florida. The initial deadline to file claims was Jan. 18, but according to Bondi's office, the absolute last day is Feb. 15. The money is part of $8.4 billion that Florida is receiving from a $25 billion nationwide mortgage agreement reached last year between most the country's attorneys general and the five-largest U.S. mortgage lenders.
